Katrin Langensiepen is a Member of the European Parliament since 2019. As the only woman with a visible disability in the Parliament and Vice-Chair of the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs she fights for a green, inclusive and feminist Europe.
In her function as Vice-Chair of the Disability Intergroup in the European Parliament and Chair of the CRDPD Network in the European Parliament she pursues the implementation of the UN-Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) in all EU policies.
As a member of IMCO, EMPL and FEMM she has worked on numerous disability related files such as the EU disability card, the Accessible EU Centre and the implementation of the EU employment directive in the light of the CRPD.

During her mandate she is undertaking a “the future is accessible tour” through the EU Member States in order to promote the European Disability Strategy 2021-30 and bring concerns and ideas from local politicians, NGOs and persons with disabilities to the European Parliament.
