
Jeff is an inventor, or co-inventor, on seven issued patents that utilize ergonomic design and universal design. These inventions advance inclusion opportunities for people with physical limitations who use computer keyboards and hearing aids.
For their development of the Comfort Keyboard System, Jeff, along with his brother Bill, received the first place award in the State of Wisconsin’s Governor’s New Product Award Competition and a prestigious technical design award from Johns Hopkins University.
For his dedication to hearing aid users, in 2021 he received the Acta Non Verba Award (“Actions Not Words”), presented for Performance Excellence from Elite Hearing Centers of America.
His Gruv Button™ technology, developed for hearing aids, has been awarded the 2022 Today’s Caregiver Friendly Award. Gruv Button™ Retrofit has been awarded the global 2024 Hearing Technology Innovator Award.
Jeff guided the development of Basic Hearing Aid Training for Caregivers™ to help family caregivers and facility caregivers understand hearing aid utilization and care.
