Ricardo has worked in the disability, ICT accessibility and inclusion fields since 2004, when he joined the ONCE Foundation for Latin America as Technical Manager to conduct the EU-funded (EuropeAid) @LIS program Red-SOCIAL, a €3M, 15-stakeholder, 4-year project aimed at developing and implementing an accessible ICT infrastructure for blind and visually impaired persons in the Latin American region. Afterwards, Ricardo worked in the design and launch of the AGORA program, a scale replica of ONCE Foundation’s acclaimed employment model in Spain aimed at blind and visually impaired people in Latin America.

In 2010 Ricardo joined ILUNION ASP (formerly known as Technosite) to contribute to the company’s as International Business Development strategy, identifying international business opportunities with corporations, governments and non-profits. Ricardo works in the design and implementation of the company’s international strategy, conducting research on potential markets, identifying potential business partners in different countries, building collaboration partnerships and networks to support business development. He represents Technosite international events through presentations and exhibits, disseminating ILUNION ASP’s accessible ICT-based inclusive solutions and best practices within the ONCE Foundation’s mission and success model in creating employment for persons with disabilities and promoting universal accessibility to environments, products and services.

Ricardo holds a B.A., Economics from the Madrid Complutense University, a Master’s Certificate in Web Design, Marketing & Internet Communication and a PMI Project Management Professional Certification. His areas of expertise are ICT accessibility, disability, social and job inclusion, web, international technical assistance, multilateral funding organizations, business development and strategic partnerships. Ricardo is a regular speaker in international events on accessibility and employment, building awareness of the need of transition from social care-based systems to truly inclusive, business-oriented models.
