Cathy is Associate Lecturer at Cork Centre for Architectural Education (UCC/CIT)

Her work straddles the boundaries of accessibility, interaction design and architecture.

Her PHD  thesis was entitled: “MyRoom: A user-centred model of affective responsive architecture.”

Areas of interest include; Responsive architecture, computationally-enabled architecture,environment and well-being, user-centred design, Inclusive Design, the effects of aesthetics, light and colour in the built environment.

She lists her specialisms as: Responsive environments, healthcare environments, affective computing; healthcare facilities design and procurement, innovative healthcare/special needs design, corporate/commercial interior design, corporate identity, access consultancy.
