Aidan Parr has been involved in assistive technology for over 18 years, working in communication aids, telecare, as a teacher and most notably as the co-author of half a dozen parliamentary report on AT research and innovation for the UK government. He founded UKATNews.com in 2015 to fill the news and information gap in UK assistive technology but has a wide interest in accessibility and any means to enable independence and opportunities for older and disabled individuals.
Aidan is dyslexic, but didn’t get a diagnosis until he was 42 after obtaining a degree in Electronics and a Master’s in Assistive Technology. He knows what it’s like to be told “No you can’t”. But he (like many others) can!
